Our History

Route 66 Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center was founded by Dr. Jeremy Welcome and Rowan Welcome with a vision to reimagine the traditional emergency veterinary experience. Motivated by the belief that no pet owner should feel like “just another case,” they set out to create a place where empathy, transparency, and personalized support guide every interaction.

From its inception, Route 66 has been thoughtfully shaped to serve the community with a more compassionate approach to emergency medicine—one that prioritizes both the patient and the person who loves them. The Welcomes’ commitment to elevating the emergency care experience continues to influence the culture of the hospital today, inspiring a team dedicated to serving pets and their families with warmth, respect, and unwavering care.
